Servers and kitchen
- The 3 stages of an orderLearn how an order moves through the 3 color-coded states, from the moment the customer saves it to the moment the kitchen marks it ready. 🟡 1. Yellow: Pending Order The customer builds the order and taps SAVE. 🔴 2. Red: Under Review An employee reviews the order and adds the details (comments, table number, customer name, number of guests, etc.), then taps SEND. The kitchen can only start preparing the food after this step. 🟢 3. Green: Ready The kitchen employee prepares the order and taps READY when it's done. The order turns green in the waiter's +MyList, so they know it can be picked up and delivered to the table. The kitchen can also call it out, as is traditional. ⏱️ Every order shows a timer that becomes more noticeable as time passes, so delayed orders can be spotted early. When READY is tapped, the timer stops and the time is saved, so you can analyze your kitchen's efficiency.

- Delete menu itemsHow to delete menu items 1. Switch to EDIT mode (open the right panel and tap the switch). 2. Press and hold the green circle with the plus (+) sign. 3. Press and hold the menu item you want to delete. 4. Press and hold again to confirm the deletion. How to remove items from a POC (Promo/Offer/Combo): 1. Select the POC using the filter. 2. Go to the item. 3. Tap EDIT (switches to EDIT mode, switch in the right panel). 4. Change the item's POC assignment to "all"; this removes it from that specific POC.
- Sort menu items1. Activate sort mode: tap the SORT switch in the right panel (this activates reordering mode across the ENTIRE app). 2. Select the item to move: drag the item's button (press and hold) from right to left; this unmarks it and prepares it for repositioning. 3. Reposition the item: drag the button up or down to the new desired position. Release it to place it there. 4. Save the change: just press and hold (taphold) that or any other button.

Do my customers have to download an app?
No. They scan the QR code and the menu opens in their phone's browser.
How long does it take to be ready?
Less than 24 hours once we receive your menu.
Can I change prices or turn off a sold-out dish?
Yes, instantly from the admin panel.
What happens if the internet goes down?
If the restaurant's Wi-Fi goes down, no problem: the 3 apps also work on your cell phone's mobile data, even with a basic connection. They are very lightweight and load only from our own server. Your staff and your customers can keep using the service.
Does it integrate with my payment system or POS?
Asterd doesn't connect automatically to your POS, and you don't need to replace it. Each tab is recorded with its details, subtotals and total, and your administrator uses it as the order slip to record the sale in your POS. If your POS offers an API, in some cases we can connect it: ask us.
Which languages does the translation support?
More than 50, including Spanish, French, Portuguese, Russian, German, Italian, Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, and more.
Can I use my own logo and colors?
Yes. You can upload your business information and logo from the dashboard.
